Kaisercraft drawers project...

Kaisercraft drawers

Start by staining the drawers with a Tim Holtz Distress ink refill. I used walnut.

When this has dried rub over with kitchen towel and the spray with a clear varnish.
Assemble the drawers as follows. Put the back into the base. Add the sides. Then the shelves and finally the top. Use wood glue to hold in place.

For each of the nine drawers you will need to cut paper at the following sizes;
2 x  3 11/16” by 3 11/16” squares for the base.
2 x 2 9/16” by 3 ¾” for the left and right hand sections.
2 x 3 11/16” by 2 9/16” for the front (this is the section with the semi circle cut out).

Placing the drawer flat use a copic or pro marker to colour around the edges of each individual section.  Use the chisel end of the pen line the edges with the pen. Then add dashes around each piece of paper.

Using paper glue stick each piece on the inside of the drawers. Then put paper glue down the outer edges of the front and the back sections. Bring the side pieces up to the front and back sections and hold in place until they are dry.
Attach the relevant pieces of paper to the outside of the drawer. Repeat this on all nine drawers.

Decorate the front to suit your taste. I simply used buttons. I then stamped the images from the Tina Wenke range and stamped them again on matching papers and cut sections out to paper piece the images. Score a small piece of card and fold in half to attach to the back of your images and sit on top of the drawers. By not glueing the images down on to the drawers it allows you to mix it up depending on your decor or mood!
