What a month!!!!

Good Morning
Wow! What a month August has been. I went to Germany to sell Cricut on there shopping channel and it was a great success. Then I came home and started prepping for my shows here. Thank you to all you crafters out there who bought the Jones Tones fabric paint. I hae had emails from you saying how much you love it and I am really pleased as it is a fabulous product. So now I am getting ready for my next shows. I have Cricut this Friday and next friday too but I am busy colouring in for my next Stampavie shows on the 15th September at 12pm and 6pm. I really love the stamps we are putting on and it is nice to do sowething other than Christmas. I have put pictures of the Christmas cards I did for last weeks shows and if you need any help to re-create them just let me know. I will be in the office next Monday filming some videos, so if any of you want to see anything in particular then let us know.
Well back to the colouring fo now and hopefully I will see you soon.

Have a great week

Take care

  1. Wow Mel. I cannot think of a better job than demonstrating My favorite machine.
I have been using my cricut all week on my two Scrapbooks I have on the go. Two weeks ago 7 7-10 year olds were amazed by it!! It was hylarious when they told a teacher what the machine could do, they were so excited!!

We made lovely pages using the "Smile" with the arrow, and then the "@ and "the" and finished off with a die cut "Camera"!! It looked great and all thanks to the gorgeous Cricut machine.
Take care and look forward to seeing you on tv. Debbiexx

  3. Hi Mel~
Just to let you know you were fantstic on tv today. You are just a natural at it. I must say I think the cricut machine could sell itself...BUT you make all the ideas that we forget about, spring back up in your mind.
The minute I saw you demo'ing I pressed my button and joined in. I am lucky as my machine is out all the time, and the cricut is so simple to use, If I think "Oh that Layout needs a butterfly or flower" I just pick up my matt turn on the machine and press......Simple's!!
Well done you, love seeing you on C&C. Debbiexx

  4. Great demo's with the Stampavie products, I accidently deleted them from my sky box! so very pleased that you have downloaded some of your cards, they are truly lovely. I wish I could come to one of your classes I think I would love it! So looking forward to Cricut on Friday, I have set the record as I have to work, boo hoo. Never mind I shall catch up tomorrow night. Can i just pass on a little tip... I scan my little cricut books, then put the printed photo's into an A4 file, not only do they keep clean, but they come out bigger, which is such a plus! My first little books are looking pretty desperate, so this job of scanning is a godsend. Plus I can take the file to work and look through it at lunchtime without my pasta falling on the pics and destroying them, yes I have done it! Thanks Mel you are an inspiration to us. xx

  5. oH Mel - you hinted at a new product on the fabrics with Cricut show and now I think I know what it is as I've just landed on it on the website. EMBOSSING!! I'm too excited for words but I'm desperate to know how it works. A different' 'blade' will be needed no doubt and there's these embossing sheets on the site. I just had trouble ordering the brilliant 6 blades with 2 mats offer and in my frustration, found these. I'm off to the Cricut site to see if it says anything there. You're a diamond gem - keep up the fantastic work but take care not to overdo it or you'll lose your mojo :-)

  6. I'm now just over the moon as I did the embossing myself!! :-) After watching a youtube video, please please please ask c&c to add the Spellbinders craft foil (jewel tones) to the show as that with embossing on it looks fantastic. I now know what I'm using on my Christmas cards, what the designs will be is another question but I'm sure I can have fun working all that out.

  8. Hi Mel, Just wanted to say that you are my favourite presenter on C&C. Your enthusiasm is so infectious. I had almost given up with the Cricut but after your last demos I bought another cartridge and am now getting to grips with incorporating the designs into my projects. Take care.

  9. Mel - what a great show you did this morning about embossing and stamping with the Cricut. I bought stamping set with the blocks included and can't wait to get on with it. My body is still tingling with excitement but I have to try to focus on today's project which is finally starting the handbag I'm meant to be making.

    Stay you

  10. Hi Mel - love watching you demoing the cricut (I have an Expression). You mentioned that if we had a query with using our Cricuts we could email you, but I cannot find an email address for you. Don't want to post question here so perhaps you could let me know where to email my query so you'll get it. Thanks, Nicola

  16. Hi Bev

Please uninstall the sync and then remove your firewall and anti virus. Then re install the sync and try again. It is also very important that you tell the DS which Cri cut you have. If this doesn't work then contact isupport @provocraft.com Tell them I told you to contact them and give them your phone number so they can contact you if necessary.
    Hope that helps.

  17. Hi Mel,I wonder if you can help.I have a cricut expression 2 and when I use it via wifi on the cricut craft room it is very slow.Even when I use it hard wired it is like watching paint dry!ANy ideas why this is?
Also, when I want to use the expression on its own just using the touch screen I cannot find where to put in the size of the item I want to cut.I can put them on the mat on the screen but they are all tiny, when I link it to the craft room I can choose the size.Which tool do I use on the machine to make my items 4 or 5 inches in size?sorry if these are really silly questions, but its actually putting me off using it,especially as the craft ,room screen keeps locking up I can't even use that as a standby.I would be gratefull for any help.

  20. Hi Mel, love your shows try not to miss any Cricut demos, I have a problem with my create machine, after updating with my Gypsy I found that it no longer communicating with it, then I found that the Gypsy worked most of the time if I did not have a cartridge loaded in the Create machine. I have since realised that the Cricut machine freezes up as soon as I put a cartridge in, so as long as I only use the Gypsy I can continue with my scrapbooks, but of course that means the centre point is out of the deal. Can you help. Sorry about the anonymous couldn't get it to work using anything else.

  21. Hi Mel,

I love watching you on Create and Craft, you have such fantastic ideas!
I have a Cricut Personal Cutter which has unfortunately broken down. I've had it 16 months and only used it a handful of times. A little bird told me you used to fix the machines and so i wondered if you have any advice.
It has no power to it whatsoever, not even the light comes on. I have tried my sisters lead and it doesn't work with that either. I have invested in another lead (not a Provo one as they are impossible to contact - no reply to emails and no UK contact number, USA never answer)and that has not worked either.
I have tried the reset function but it does say to turn the machine on at the start. Obviously mine wouldn't, i tried the rest of the procedure several times but still no power.
I'm wondering if you know any other tricks or if my machine is just dead :(
    Any help please.
    Thanks
    Janet

  22. Hi Mel, Love all your demos on Create and Craft and thanks for all the tips. Love the way you get exited about finding out the new thing for the ScanNCut. I bought one of these after seeing one of your demos and I absolutely love it. I have taped your programme but for the life of me cannot find one where you showed how to scan punched out shapes. I have tried to do this but with no avail. Was I dreaming you did this, If not will you please let me know how? Carry on with the good work and look forward to seeing more of your shows. PS do you do classes for ScanNCut face to face. If so will definitely be booking one with you.
