Finally lost the plot!
Oh how funny. I was sat in the green room finally having a sandwich and they came to tell me that they neede me to cover half an hour show as the sewing machine had sold out. It was all going well until we came to the pet shop cartridge and Genevieve and I just started giggling at the colours of the animals on the board.....if you have seen it you will know what I mean...and we both lost it. We had to go to a break as I had tears streaming down my face and she Gen was no help as she was in fits too.. Very funny though

Take care

Hi Melanie, I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your recent bereavement. I have only today found your blog - I had wondered why I hadn't seen you on tv recently - I had thought you had done a Stephanie Weighman lol. I lost my youngest son, Christopher age 20, so suddenly on 12 May 2011. He went out with his friend in my car, felt unwell and pulled over and as his friend dialled 999 Chris just fell unconcious and passed away. I am missing him so much - he was such a very special person. They say time is a healer - I'll let you know. He had a DVT which went straight to his lung - it all happened instantly and he wouldn't have felt a thing. I hope you find peace in the knowledge that your parents are now together, and I hope the memories you have of your childhood serve as inspiration in your projects. With best wishes Sharon xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon
DeleteThank you for your lovely email. It has been hard enough losing my Mum and Dad in just over twelve months, but losing a child must be awful. I take great comfort from the fact that they are together again, which after sixty wonderfully happy years together is where they both wanted to be. I also know that when it is my turn they will both be there to meet me and you too will see your son again one day. It has also taught me to live NOW and not to worry about what might happen, just enjoy and be happy right now.
Take care

Oh Mel what were provo craft thinking....Blue Dogs and Yellow Cats (were they drunk when they made this one!!) LOL
ReplyDeleteI thought you were going to laugh earlier with Andy when you were on about it first time, so you did well.
Unfortunatly I did not see your "Crying" laughing part of the show (it finishes for me at 6) but I can only imagine you, you naughty thing!!

Hi Mel
ReplyDeleteYour shows were great I'm off work I'll at the moment and you really cheered me up. I love your style (and hair style too) you are so inspirational and sincere. I love my expression 2 but don't use it enough. Promise I will do, taking your advice to dust it off....loved the flower shoppe cartridge and your wreath. All the best see you Again soon. elaine
Fantastic shows and brilliant ideas as usual Melanie, I must get one of those freeview recording machines as I missed alot (sadly have to work to fund my craft habit). Have you any workshops coming up local(darwen)?
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie I forgot to ask I saw a snip of a video featuring a wreath made using the flower shoppe cartridge, it is beautiful, any chance of a tutorial please?
ReplyDeleteHi Mealanie, I have been watching your shows on Create and Craft and think you are brillant, and give me so much inspiration to get craftng. I have been looking at getting a Cricut, which one would you recommend? I make invitations etc so one which would take a bigger mat might be more useful for me? I was looking at the expression would this be the best one?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your help and inspiration
Love Stephanie

I saw your crying with laughter episode and I ended laughing with you, it is so fantastic having you back on our screens, I can't wait for next weeks shows. They just have to get you doing the Sunday Scrappers show Mel, you are the perfect person for the job, being so passionate really helps to inspire and encourage other people to start journalling their lives.
ReplyDeleteOnce again I thank you for being you Mel, a kind, caring and very inspirational lady xxxx
Huge Hugs

Hi Mel. Really enjoyed your Cricut shows recently and bought a set of the pens. I have tried them on my baby bug to draw and cut a flower centre from Flower Shoppe and it worked a treat. I wonder if you could tell me how to do the same thing on my E2 I don't have a regular Expression and once the paper is loaded into the E2 you lose the option to load paper again. Thanks for your help. Best Wishes, Lynda
