Hello my lovely crafty friends,
Thank you for all your support today. I am glad you have loved the 4Day Deal, it really is a fab DVD and card kits.
Just wanted to wish you all a very happy and creative new year.
Hope you can tune in over the next few days for more inspiration and also some jewellery and scrapbook shows.
Have a fabulous evening
Lots of love
Mel you had some fantastic shows today and I shall look forward to seeing more over the next few days. Create and Craft and people like yourselves is helping to keep me sane whilst I remain off sick but for you personally I can't thank you enough for your scrapbooking ideas/tips.ReplyDelete
By the way, my friend loved the scrapbook I did for her of our last week-end away with mum. I told her that I had used lots of your tips and I HAD to journal in my own writing because you said so!!! That is the thing that had stopped me finishing the scrapbooks in the last year so I can't thank you enough.
I wish a very Happy New Year and all the very best for you and your family for 2013.
I caught the show this morning and it looked good. Happy New Year to you. Will you keep to your new year resolution? More blogging?ReplyDelete
I will try my best!!!! I want to do more video tutorials so keep your fingers crossed for me!!!Delete
Happy New Year to you too Mel!ReplyDelete

I have M.E. and have to rest far too much but my crafting keeps me sane and smiling! ow you will give me an honest answer, I would like to purchase a 'Beading' book so whjich one can you really recommend? Just sent you a card picture on Create and Craft that I made after you demonstrated how to do a hidden message card. You asked me to send you the picture so you could pass it on to Pauline! Not sure how to get in touch with you to do this.ReplyDelete
Hi Mel....loving your demos and the 4day deal...will you put some of your samples up on your blog please......I need a kick start...! hugs MargaretReplyDelete
You have shown my pictures again! Didn't realise it was that impressive! You have really inspired me to make some more kinetic cards! Sorry it should've been Paulette in my last post!ReplyDelete
Happy New Year Mel.ReplyDelete
31st Dec ordered 4 day deal. Watched more demos...1st Jan ordered the stitch stamps. Watched more demos...2nd Jan ordered the Serendipity stamps. Thank goodness I can now relax and watch rest of your demos knowing I have everything I need to replicate your lovely cards when my stash arrives next week.
Think I mentioned I was making my 2 sons a scrapbook each of their ancestors right up to and including mine and their Dad's wedding. As we all spent Christmas together this year, I asked that they both opened that particular present at the same time. They were both thrilled, in fact my younger son (36)was so emotional he couldn't speak for a while. So thank you for giving me the confidence and encouragement to do this.
If I don't see you before, see you in April.
Take care and thanks again. Sue, Derby
How wonderful. I bet that made you feel really proud. Good for you.Delete
See you soon
Love melanie xxx

Love watching all your shows you give us so much inspiration. I bought the 4 day deal and the stitch stamps and have watched all your fab shows on C&C.Today I had to get the floral stamps too just couldn't resist. Did promise myself no more crafty stuff until I got my crafty stash organised but it was too good to miss. Will be watching again in the morning to see what demos you do using the stamps.
Pleeeeeeeeease could you put some of the cards you made with this kit on your blog would love to have a go at making them myself when my kit arrives.
Many thanks Rizwana
Yes when I get home I will photograph them and put them on my blog.
Glad you enjoyed the shows
Have watched you on Create and Craft a number of times and am really impressed with your scrapbooking as well as card making and jewellery. I am a scrapbooker, more or less self taught, and I have got some really useful ideas from your demos on C&C. I have done one scrapbook about my family history starting with my great grandparents and done a lot of journalling on each page telling the stories of when and where they were born, married and died - their jobs, etc. getting most of the information from birth certificates, etc. as I had no information at all, just a few old photographs so a lot of research was needed.
I have also done a couple of scrapbooks for my two grandchildren and one of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding as well as some with just miscellaneous photographs in. So have done quite a bit of scrapbooking but we all need a bit more inspiration and you certainly do just that. Thank you very much for all your ideas and look forward to even more.
Happy new year mel loving your demo's on 4 day deal of hotp I want to make the pull up card but can't remember how and sadly I don't get paid for another couple of weeks which will be gone by then 😢ReplyDelete
Really enjoyed your show - ordered the 4 day deal - now looking forward to making cards. Love the idea of edging with copic pens.ReplyDelete
Happy new year - thank you for all your fantastic demos on create and craft this week, I am so excited about receiving mine!! I have recorded a lot of the shows but was wondering if you could tell me what make/model of trimmer you have been using is?ReplyDelete
Many thanks once again - all the shows have been so inspirational and have made me sort out my crafty stash and make use of all my leftovers!
The trimmer is a cutterpede from EK Success. I also use a Woodware trimmer too which is fab. Let me know if you can't find one and I will see if I can help.
Happy New Year Mel.. hope 2013 is a fab one for you.. see ya soon xReplyDelete
Loved all the shows this week the 4 day deal looks fab cant wait until it arrives. Just a quick question I have been wanting to create my own blog for some time just wondered how you created yours did you get someone to do it professionally or did you design it yourself any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hope you didn't mind me asking. Many thanks Rizwana xx
hello mel,it would be lovely if you did blogg more but it all takes time. yes i got the h.o.t.p. kit just before it went limited. i have started with my old photos of my granparents my mum and dad. learnt a bit along the way about them to. photos were scarce in the 50 and befor that. so i have decided to do the photos on hard board. will put on my blog when finished. i dont have anyone to leave it to. but its nice to do. looking forward to the kit. i really enjoyed the show. that dean, you never know what he will do next. love bluebell-flowerwood.ReplyDelete
I watched your show about scrapbooking and took your advice about removing old photos from the albums that have sticky pages and the plastic sheets that cover the pages.
I lost both of my parents when I was a small child (i am 52 now and was given all the photos that were found at the time of their deaths). I was 18 when the photos were given to me, at the time I didn't know what to do with them and placed them all in this type of album. They have been there ever since. After watching you and feeling the passion that you give,it has spurred me on to make my own scrapbook album. I don't quite know where to start with the photos or what to write,( have shed a few tears looking at photos that I don't remember being taken) but my husband says it is like eating an elephant, a little bit at a time. Not quite sure I want to eat an elephant!
I do have a question that I am hoping you can answer. What glues or tape can I use to stick the photos and any embellishments with? You truly are a wonderful crafter and I will be watching all the shows you do.
Hope you will be able answer my question.
I would love an EK Success paper trimmer and have tried really hard to find one on the net. Please have you any ideas where else I can try?ReplyDelete
Love your shows and have "copied" so many of your cards.
Much love. Shirley T.
Hi Mel,loved the shows and would love to start scrapbooking this year. I'm a bit like Alyson Gibson in that I'm not too sure where to begin but your enthusiasm is wonderful and you will have lots of people joining in I'm sure.ReplyDelete
Your advices would be appreciated in all areas.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Love Jan N.
Hi Mel, Watched and recorded all your show for the HOTP 4 day deal your an inspiration to us all. Have to admit I didn't purchase it as one of my resolutions was to use what I've got (and boy do I have alot!!). Anyway have made a few cards following your demos and using up my "scraps" also using some of multitude of stamps for backing papers and they are beautiful.ReplyDelete
Am really glad your going to push scrapbooking this year as thats my main love (the cards come from the leftovers lol).
Hope this year is a good one for you and I'm looking forward to watching more of your shows
I wrote to you a couple of days ago re your scrapbooking and your wonderful ideas. I would just like to ask you what is the pen you use for edging paper, cardstock, photographs, etc. Do you only use black or other colours. Also could you tell me what is the white pen you use for faux stitching. It is so effective. I did email while you were on the show on Thursday but my email not read out. Hoping to hear from you soon. Best wishes to you Mel and I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful layouts, ideas, etc.
