Here we go..... good luck! x

Good morning crafty friends
Well! Here we go! My first ever blog challenge. The special price of £9.99 for the Lakehouse kit will only be available until the 4th of April. You need to purchase the kit from Bramwellcrafts.co.uk and you will then have until the 4th of May to get your entries in. I will let you know where to send pictures of your work  in the next few days.
The winner will receive a goody bag of Kaisercraft product worth £50 and will become a guest designer on my blog for a month.
Below you will see some inspiration. The first card I used Tim Holtz Distress Pens. I stamped the image on to water colour card using an Archival ink pad and then coloured the image with the distress pens and used a paint brush and water to soften the effect. I then incorporated the rub-ons in to the picture and used the patterned papers to build up the card
The second image is coloured in with a single 2B pencil. I love the effect this gives although you do have to be patient as it takes a while to build up the colour. I also used a paper stump to blend the lead and an erasure to add the light.
I hope you enjoy using the kit and I cant wait to see what you all come up with.
I will put a link in to this post this afternoon but for now just visit the website and click on Mels featured product.
I told you I was rubbish with technology!!!!!!

Inspiration.

This image has been coloured using Tin Holtz distress markers on Watercolour card.
This stamped image has been coloured in using a single 2B pencil. I am loving this technique at the moment.

My first ever blog challenge!

Good morning my crafty friends
I have decided to run a blog challenge starting this week. As you know I have been doing a Mel's Featured Product section on my blog for the last couple of months. This month I have used the Kaisercraft Lake House collection. Included in this package will be a paper pad, a stamp set and a sheet of rub ons. I am going to post some inspiration for you over the next couple of days.
I have managed to convince the powers that be! To sell the kit at £9.99, which I have to say is amazing value.
What you need to do is purchase the kit and then send us pictures of the projects you have made with them. This can be anything you like.
The winner will win a goody box of Kaiser product worth £50 and also be a guest designer on my blog for a month.
I hope you are as excited as I am about this. I will post pictures of the cards I made and also more details of how to buy the kit.
I am really looking forward to seeing all your ideas as I know there are lots of you out there that are extremely creative.
Take care
Lots of love and hugs

My inspiration

Hello
I don't often talk about personal things on my blog but I wanted to share a story with you.I have a very dear friend called Lynne who I met about ten years ago through my Scrapbooking classes.
Lynne had a stroke which left here wheel chair bound.
She is my inspiration. Despite her many health issues she is the strongest, most determined woman I have ever met.
This year she is trying to raise funds for local charities.  Local to us both is Pendle Hill which is well known in our area for the Pendle Witches. Lynne has decided that she would like to go up Pendle Hill, which as you can imagine in a wheel chair is quite a challenge!!!!! Still that won't stop her. As far as we know she will be the first person to go up Pendle in a wheel chair.
However it doesn't stop there....... She was told that she could get up there but couldn't get back down in her chair so she has decided that she will hand glide down instead!!!!!!!
If you would like to sponsor Lynne or even just send her a message of support then please check out www.justgiving.com/Lynne-Drinkwater
I will let you know how she gets on and no doubt you will see lots of pictures used in my Scrapbook pages.
Have a good week
Lots of love and hugs

A Change of Plan

Hello
Just a quickie to let you know that the American Crafts show that was due to be on Sunday at 7pm is now a Sunday Scrappers show at 9am. I will be on with Dean......so it could turn in to another emotional show.
A huge thank you to all the viewers who have contacted me recently to say they have started scrapbooking and shared their stories with me.
I am really quite proud that I have managed to encourage  some of you to try scrapbooking and I am sure you and your family will thoroughly enjoy reminiscing together.....even if it can be very emotional.
Hope you can join myself and Dean on Sunday morning.
Take care
Lots of love and hugs
