Tomorrows shows

Hello my crafty friends, Tomorrow I am guesting a Slice Fabrique show. It is a fab little machine so tune in to see more. The show is at nine. Then at one I am doing Jesse James beads with three new stunning sets. Enjoy and thank you for your support over the past two days. Take care Melanie xxx

  1. Brilliant Cricut shows Mel. Now C&C is on longer (after 6 now!) It was nice to see you on the 7pm show.
I have had a Cricut Expression for ages, but that "baby" machine today was a great price, and with two cartridges too....Brill.
It is always great to get the tips you come up with. Last week I forgot how to centre point, don't know why but just went blank, after looking on your blog found how to do it, so thanks for that. Keep up the good work. Debbiexx

  3. Hi Mel, I'm rather new to crafting with a cricut and I wonder if you or anybody else out there could tell me whether I would be Ok to cut self-adhesive sheets on my cricut or will I gum up the blade and ruin it? I have a mind to cut snowflakes and then glitter them!!!
    Thanks

    1. Hello
Yes you can. It cuts really well and you can always clean your blade after.

  6. Hi Mel, the JJ beads were gorgeous, have you any more shows planned for these beads? I love your dems. with the cricut and the cuttlebug you are so inspirational, I get so many ideas, I also love it when you don't gloss over mishaps but explain why they happen and what to do to prevent them from happening, you don't rush through dems, but explain things well for the everyday crafter to understand. Thanks Mel:)

  7. Hi Mel,I just had to tell you how much I enjoy watching you on C&C. It is very difficult to get card making tutorials or classes in the West of Ireland so the internet is my best friend. I just got some money for my 50th birthday next week and I am considering buying a cricut. I make a lot of personalised cards to order and think I would make great use out of the cricut as using the metal dies is very slow and restrictive. I am thinking the larger cricut, the one with the electronic screen and the 12 x12 mat would be of most benefit to me. Can you advise me which would be best please? AS it is a big birthday!!!! my family have been very generous and I think this would be money well spent. I look forward to your advice. Thank you Margaret

  8. Hi Margaret
Definitely the E2 as it is update able and future friendly. It takes a little getting used to but once you have learnt the icons it is a piece of cake.
Happy birthday for when it arrives.

  13. Hi Mel
I have just joined the Cricut family by ordering the deal off C&C. However I cannot remember what setting you said to put the blade housing on I think it was 1. I have followed the manual and put it on 4 and the other settings I am sure you advised 5 for both (but again I could have got this wrong)and it teared the paper - I am still experimenting but any advice will be appreciated. I am already in love with the machine.

  14. Hi Mel.Just bought the cricut on the Gold deal. You said in one of the clips that there is a way of cutting smaller than 1 inch. Could you tell me how to do this please? Thank you.

    1. Yes, you can either connect to the craftroom online, or you can cut the shape or the letter using the sign post feature. So apply the feature button, then press what you want and the Cricut will take the dial size and cut the post that size, which means that the shapes within will be smaller. Try setting the size to one and a half inches and cut a heart with sign feature on and you will see what I mean. X
