Hi Barb Not with the large mat,no. You can scan in on the smaller mat and then enlarge it. If you use canvas this is easier as you can group and UNGROUP your shapes to resize.xxx
Is there a reason why all of the shapes on the machine are not available in canvas too? I prefer to design in canvas and would like to have access to all of the shapes direct from the Pattern Menu.
Many thanks for your speedy reply. Yes, that's what I currently do. P.S. Thanks for your great demonstrations on C&C. I'd never used a cutting machine before and your enthusiasm inspired me to invest in the ScanNCut.
Hi Mel, you are responsible for my purchase of the Scan N Cut as well! I am enjoying your new You Tube videos, very helpful. Is it possible to select a line from a basic shape and turn it into a scoring line? I thought I had just about worked out how to do this and then lost my way! Thanks
Thanks for all your great Posts they're really helpful! Mel your Shows with the Brother Scan N Cut are just Brilliant and I'm tempted to buy one, but just weighing up if it will be useful to me!? I'm a freelance theatre assistant theatre designer, which involves constructing a lot of 3-d model boxes of the theatre itself ( which is Boring ) and also of the designers set design as well especially furniture. Please check out my stuff at http://skirich.co.uk/page22.htm. especially for furniture I use a 3mm / 5mm foamed PVC, which is fairly dense and works well for the smaller model pieces and larger pieces because joints are stronger than card. But I just wondered if I could send you a sample to try out. I think you mentioned we could do that in one of your shows. I recently saw the show with the Railway model maker so am kinda hooked on getting a Brother Brian and if the foamed PVC works out I'm sold and hopefully the designers I assist would be too. And the Bonus I can use it in my personal crafting too! check out www.richmakes.blog.com ;) Look forward to hearing from you Richard
