Good morning crafty friends
Just thought I would share a couple of cards I have made whilst I have been at home and unable to talk!!!
I love the idea of Zentangle and I also love the Dreamweaver stencils, so decided to combine the two.
I used the Sakura Micron pens and drew inside the stencils and then doodled to my hearts content. Its a really therapeutic technique....give it a go.
Take care
Love and Hugs

These are so different from your usual projects, at first glance I thought I'd come onto the wrong blog! They are very beautiful. PS.hope you are on the mend. X
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am glad you like them. They are quite different for me but I like to try different things but put my own twist on it. I have learnt over the years that trying to copy exactly other people's style doesn't work and often leaves you feeling quite disappointed. It is really good to try new techniques but with your own spin on it. Will be doing lots more zentangle.

Hi Mel. ope you are feeling much better. The cards are stunning and what a brilliant idea to use with stencils, wouldn't have thought of that! Will definitely give that a go. Take care. Janette
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your well wishes. I am getting there. The trick with zentangle Lydia is to make sure that you keep it simple to start with and ensure that you pen lines touch each side of your shape. Use a ruler if you have to just to get it straight. I know it's not supposed to matter but I do have to get it as perfect as possible. The other tip is one I learnt from Barbara Gray, and that is to look where your line is going to end up rathe rthan watch the pen......sounds odd, but it really works.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you all
