Here is a sneak peek of what will be on tomorrows show., the samples have been made using they are cutting files from myscrapchick and the hearts are from birdscards. See you at 8am :)
Hi, I am struggling to cut out tattered lace dies, I have cut them on dark card and it keeps missing lines off, I have even tried some of the more basic ones like spellbinders label 1 on direct cut and that is missing bits. Can you give me some pointers as to what I could be doing wrong?
Hi Mel and Matthew I have just tried going on to to the SNC canvas only to be told I'm not compatible and to download another browser! have any of you got any ideas as I dont really want to change browse or buy a new computer just for this funtion. Do you know if anyone else is having the same problem? Cheers Janet T
thanks for getting back to me so promptly but now it's starting to get expensive (box it is then) it can go sit with sister cricut lol, great shows by the way, Janet
Mayb who knows we did look at the nook (the little square) computer now that would blow your mind Mel I still can't get my head around it haha, thanks for your help might rob hubby laptop. Cheers Janet
Well what a performance I had, I tried the laptop no joy there then a little light went on somewhere and I registered on my tablet. Although it isn't much good for scrolling up and down on the side panel it's better than nothing, I think maybe it is Google chrome that I might need thank you all for your help, and it is still out of the box I went back to basics and made a simple clock to keep the 3 year old in bed longer now he can tell time:-) .
Well as much as I would like to take credit the praise goes to littlemissg and you will be pleased to know it's had a little work out today, I'm going to have a shot at doing some penny rollers next I think. Janet p.s I too would also like a reminder on the faux stitching.
Hi Mel Loved all the shows and are waiting in anticipation for my machine to arrive. I am quite scared about it but concerned about the fact that my computer is a Mac. Will I be able to download the information from brother onto it.
Jane your Mac will be fine ...I have no problems with mine and I have been using it with Brother Brian for nearly a year now. Loved your shows Mel and look forward to the DVDs
Hi, I've just started my own blog - elliesimaginaryfriend.blogspot.com - and would like to put some free SVG cutting files on it but I don't know how. I have only been playing with my ScanNCut for a month but have enjoyed making files in Canvas and would like to share what I create with others (that's if they want them!). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks x
Hi lore, after you have made your project choose the 'download for scan n cut' option. this will give you the file to save to your computer. This way it can be emailed etc. In terms of putting it on a blog for download i am not 100% sure this can be done given the file type. http://www.bloggeryard.com/2014/01/upload-files-for-download-in-blogger.html has a useful post about putting file son blogger for download. maybe give that a try and let us know how you get on :)
Thanks ever so much for that link it was really helpful. I have now (hopefully...finger's crossed!) have created a link for my first ever free cutting file on my blog. So excited! I have never had so much fun or gone in as much depth with a computer before I got the ScanNCut but I can't seem to stop. I keep chasing one possibility to another. I know you don't need a computer to a have a great time with the ScanNCut but it's truly amazing when you do pair it with a computer. Thanks again for your help.
Hiya, I'm new to the whole 'blog thing', lol. I emailed in to the show the other day but you had so many it didn't get read out. I got this fabulous machine last year and got round to playing on it just before Christmas. Its great and I agree that Canvas is really easy to use. I'm finding on my machine that I'm having to have my blade depth really high (10) to get through card and that it cuts round the edge of the mat but doesn't really go through in the middle of the mat. Any advice? Thanks, Rachel Clark r_e_c_less@hotmail.com
Hi Rachel Can you make sure your card is pressed down well all over the mat. Then try cutting again. If it is still the sam Ethan increase the pressure to 2 and use the blade depth to find the perfect cut level. Each machine can be slightly different . Please let me know how you get on. Thanks Melanie x
Hi Mel,
ReplyDeleteThese are great and thanks for the link to the site too. Am getting to grips with my SNC and have finally cut fabric too :)
